“The temple and the mosque are the same, there is no difference between Hindu worship and Muslim prayer;
all human beings are the same, although they may appear to be different.”
In world philosophies, more than 70 per cent of the world’s population identifies with one of the five religions around the world. All of these religions have their religious books and have traditionally been many different groups of religious belief; the five top world religions are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism.
In looking at these major belief systems and their views of God, we find tremendous diversity:
Christians believe in a God who is loving and approachable. Christians believe in a loving God who has revealed himself and can be known in a personal way, in this life. With Jesus Christ, the person’s focus is not on religious rituals or performing good works, but on enjoying a relationship with God and growing to know him better.
Muslims believe in a powerful but mysterious God. Muslims believe there is the one almighty God, named Allah,
Hindus acknowledge multitudes of gods and goddesses. Most Hindus worship one Being of ultimate oneness through infinite representations of gods and goddesses. These various manifestations of gods and goddesses become incarnate within idols, temples, gurus, rivers, animals, etc.
Buddhists say there is no deity. Buddhists do not worship any gods or God.
New Age promotes the development of the person’s power or divinity. New Age followers believe they are God. When referring to God, a follower of New Age is not talking about a transcendent, personal God who created the universe, but is referring to a higher consciousness within themselves.
Rivers, ponds, lakes, and streams – they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do – they all contain truths.
“Religion is more than life. Remember that his religion is the truest to every man even if it stands low in the scales of philosophical comparison. “
“All persons must be free to profess and follow their faith. In doing so, however, they must be careful not to neglect the practice of the essence of their religion, not to disturb others by their religious practices, and not to condemn or belittle other faiths.”
“Let us focus on the commonalities of all religions, on the inner core of all religions which is the purity of heart. We should all give importance to this aspect of worship and avoid conflict over the outer shell of the religions, which is various rites, rituals, festivals and dogmas.”
“The most beautiful and most profound religious emotion that we can experience is the awareness of the mystical. And this mysticality is the power of all true science. If there is any such concept as a God, it is a subtle spirit, not an image of a man that so many have fixed in their minds. In essence, my religion consists of a humble admiration for this infinite superior spirit that reveals itself in the slight details that we can perceive with our frail and feeble minds.”- Albert Einstein
The supremacy of any religion or beliefs lies in its practical life and not in its theories or philosophies. Religions are not high or low because of these. Every person cannot be called having so much affection for his her religion, but some of them have too much love towards his her religion.
This love cannot be expressed in any language in affairs only; that particular person knows how much affection he has in modern days.
He finds very, very few people who, having affection towards religion, irrespective of religion caste, every religious motto is that one should behave with human beings in a very honourable way, whether he is Hindu Islam Sikhism Christianity Jainism, etc…
The primary focus of all the philosophies or religions is to reach the ultimate, to come to reality, to reach to the source. God is not having any concrete definition. God is not any scientific term or something which can be found by solving any particular equation. The very basic foundation or the driving force behind any religious progress is to break down this conditioning of the mind and to kill the difference between the divine wish and a person’s dream. All religions merge in Truth.
The best thing a man Can do to follow his religion is in the follow the teachings in his religious scriptures, instead of following mythological/beliefs of any religion thoughtlessly.
It is imperative to go into the depths of scriptures of particular religions and think through on it and find out the truth which leads you to Almighty or God. God does not belong to one religion; all religions belong to God. You can approach Him through your religious teachings (paths), all religions lead to Him. Different methods will have different views of the same thing; one view does not weaken the other.
We must keep in mind that we are the human being must think always think in these terms.
We are the person, not animals, so we have to behave or treat with every person in a brotherly way.
“Every religion is of the one and same belief that God can be found only through love, not earthly, but divine. Truth and non-violence. Truth is my God. Non-violence is the means of realizing Him.”
As love is God and God is love, and whoever remains in love remains with God and God in him.
‘Life is fun, to struggle with (something for the better)……….. is life.’
