The darker the night, the brighter the stars,
The deeper the grief, the closer is God!
“We are responsible for what we are, and we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.”
All our dignity consists of thought. By this must we raise ourselves, not by space or duration which we cannot fill? Then let us make it our study to think well; for this is the starting point of morals-Pascal.
The Atman is to be realized as the pure consciousness. The Atman being infinite is All-pervading by its very nature. Atman is always distinct from the body, senses, mind, intellect, all of which constitute the matter and is the witness of their function’s, the life drama on this body and in the world outside and never a participant, is not the sharer of any of the experiences. The atman reveals as luminous consciousness beneath the layers of matter or bodies. The self, the life spark in us is the nourishing factor of all life. It gives the organs their capacities for manifestations like the steam in the engine supplies the power for the locomotive to pull the train of carriages. The steam has no attachment to compartments or travellers and their destinations.
